You might be getting a little spoiled!

Hey Baby,

So, with Mommy on bedrest (1 1/2 weeks now), you might be getting a little spoiled! We were planning to get you a bouncehouse for Christmas, but ended up getting it for your time at home now. It's so fun for you....you jump around for about 3 minutes and come out all sweaty!

Your first day at Karissa's (the "daycare lady") went really well. You have 3 other friends there too, so it's very entertaining for you. Actually, Karissa said (and you talked about him all night when you got home) that you loved and followed the cat around all day...his name is Gator and you told me that too! What a memory you have!

You've also been kissing Max and helping Daddy paint his room. What a loving big brother you will be (we'll see)!

Love you,

Momma

Missing you!

Dear Noah,

I miss you....I've been on bedrest in order to "keep Max healthy" and we haven't been able to do any of the things that we usually get to do together. You've handled the change pretty well considering your entire routine has changed. You're so cute...when you come in the house from being outside with Gramma or Daddy or come home from Mom's Day Out, you run as fast as you can to my room (you always know where to find me), climb up on the bed, and hug and kiss me! I love it! When I here your little feet scampering down the hall to my room, I get so excited to see you and hear what you've been up to. However, I do have to admit, I am a little sad and envious of all the time you are spending with everyone else. I miss you and wish it were me getting to go fun places and do fun things with you.

When I ask you why I'm in the bed all the time, you say, "Max, healfy". So smart!

Love and miss my little man,
Mommy

Take Time

Dear Noah,

We went to a Mommy and Me class this week and you were a social butterfly. They gave us this poem and I thought it was very fitting:

Take time to hold me on your lap,
To joke with me and make me laugh,
Take time, Mommy; this time will go so fast.

Take time to give me extra hugs,
To teach me a nursery rhyme or song,
Take time, Mommy; I won't be little long.

Take time to tuck me into bed,
To read that story you know by heart,
Take time, Mommy; soon these days will part.

Take time to exclaim over what I color,
To admire the things I make from clay,
Take time, Mommy; soon it won't be the same.

Take time to let me help you work,
To teach me the many things you know,
Take time, Mommy;

Enjoy me as I grow!

Love you more than I thought possible,

Noah's First Day of School!

My Baby,

You're first day of "school" (Mom's Day Out) was today. I have been SO worried about sending my little man off for three hours without me that I've been making myself crazy about it for the last few days (oh, ok, maybe weeks!). But, you proved me wrong and LOVED it! I am so proud of you!

Let's back up and start from the beginning. You went to meet your teachers on Friday and were saying their names all weekend...everytime we drove by your school you would say "school", "Shannon", "Edna", "balls", "park". You have such a good memory and are really making connections to things in your world. It's so fun for your Daddy and I to watch!

The night before your first day, I was a nervous wreck. I typed out a list of helpful hints about you for your teacher (yes, I'm that mom!), got your backpack ready, packed your lunch, and laid your outfit out. Daddy drew a picture of your favorite characters so that when you opened your lunchbox today you had something from home to look at! The teachers told us it was a hit!

When I dropped you off today, you cried "Mamma, Mamma, Mamma" as your teacher was getting you out of your carseat (such a nice setup..they come out and get you). I drove away with tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat. I immediately called Daddy and we decided to meet up for coffee and a walk. Just as I was picking him up, a call came from your school. Yikes! My stomach did a few flips, I answered it, and was pleasently surprided! The director was calling to tell me how awesome you were doing and that you only cried for 3 minutes! That really helped me relax and enjoy the rest of the morning!

When I picked you up at 12:30, you ran out to see me and then immediately ran toward the school and wanted to go back in! I guess that's a good problem to have! You actually liked it! Ms. Shannon said you were so good, ate well, and loved hanging out with your new friends!

You'll be back on Friday!

Love you so much,

Mamma
