Oooouch!!!!

Baby Noah,

Today you weren't such a baby! You had your first shots and you took it like a little man! Daddy and I were so proud of you. You now weigh 13 lbs, 12 oz and you are a whopping 25 inches long!

Here's what you looked like when we first got to the doctor's office:

Here's what you looked like when we left the doctor's office:

And here's what you looked like in between:

I think I might have been just as proud of your Daddy. I got to hide behind the camera, but Daddy was there holding your hand and looking right at your precious face to calm you. See how you're looking right at him the whole time! He did however, frantically ask the nurse how many more there were after the first 2! Almost as if pleading with her to hurry up or be done already! Luckily, for him, there was only 1 more and you guys were home free...until the 4 month round that it! It only took a few minutes to calm you down...and here's what finally worked:

Daddy looks a bit worn out...would you agree?!

Way to go you two,

Mommy

Our first Mother's Day together!

Dear Noah,

We celebrated our first Mother's Day together yesterday and you were the best son a momma could ask for! You have turned over a new leaf, that's for sure! You are 9 weeks and 4 days old and starting to adjust better each day!

On Saturday, Mommy got a massage and you and Daddy took your first trip to the store together without me! Daddy dressed you and you went to Lowes and Home Depot. You screamed at Lowes, so Daddy left and took you to Home Depot...you settled down there. Apparently you prefer Home Depot....Dad should've known!

On Sunday, Grandma and Grandpa Redders came in town from Columbia and so did your Auntie Becky, Uncle Jon, and Cousin Carter! Carter loved to hold you and say your name! You were a good sport!

Grandma fed you and you hung out in your swing with all of us by the pool! It was such a nice day!

You got me some flowers and tickets to the Muny (outdoor theater at Forest Park). What a nice gift...Daddy said I could go with some friends and you and him would hang out together to give Mommy a break!

When everyone went home, we took you down to the movie theater and you fell asleep in my arms while Daddy and I got to watch a movie! What a good boy you were!

Thank you!

Love,

Mommy

I'm a big boy now!

Dear Noah,

You're growing up so fast that sometimes it makes me smile and sometimes it makes me cry! You are getting cuter and cuter, but I see that my little man won't stay so little forever. You are 9 1/2 weeks and you're growing out of your 0-3 month clothes already and into the 3-6 month stuff. Daddy and I are having so much fun watching you track objects and focus on our faces! You really light up when you see us (that won't last forever either, I know)! We put you in your first seat the other day and you did so good and seemed to like it! Mommy cried!

You LOVE these bears in your pack-n-play. They are life savers at times because if you're screaming, we can put you under those and you giggle and coo until you're happy again!

I love you little big boy,

Mommy

First Day at Church!

Dear Noah,

We decided you were ready for your first church experience last week. You were 8 1/2 weeks old and it was about time we got back to church. We were nervous that Screamer would emerge again, so we made sure that you had a full belly and were sleeping before we stepped foot into that place. The church we go to is held at the YMCA, as you can see by the picture. The music is REALLY loud there and you seemed to like it! You slept right through the singing and half of the sermon and then started to squeak. Daddy got nervous that you were going to blow, so he stood up and swung your pumpkin seat (that usually puts you back to sleep). You kept squeaking, so Daddy took you out of the service to make sure you were calm. 15 minutes go by and still no Dadddy and Noah, so I decided to check it out. You and Dad were yacking away to everyone you saw in the hallway. I convinced you guys to come back in just in time for the final prayer and offering...then the service was over! Whew, we made it!!!!

Not sure we got much out of it, but it sure was nice to look down and see you there with us! We prayed and prayed for you at that church, so what a blessing it was to have you safe and sound right there!

Love,

Mommy

The new Noah!

Noah,

You will be 8 weeks tomorrow and I feel like I have a new baby! You have gotten so much easier and happier, which makes Mommy happy, which makes Daddy very happy!!

You now sleep on our lap, in your swing, and in your bouncy seat! You will also just hang out on our lap on the couch. See, you've NEVER done this (at least since the 3rd week of your life when you started to wake up)! It seems that you've been very uncomfortable in this world for the past 5 weeks, but now that Mommy doesn't eat dairy or chocolate, you seem happier! Now, if you knew how much I LOVE chocolate, you'd know I must really love you to give it up! It's been rough, but it's worth it to have a happier Noah in the house!

Love,
Chocolate deprived Mommy
