Summer 2008!

DearNoah,

This summer has been full of old and new parks, Grant's Farm, the Zoo, and pool time. Hanging out with you has been so much fun..watching how excited you get to see animals up close (you love to touch them all), play in the water, and how big you've gotten. You can use your fork and spoon to feed yourself, although you do get frustrated sometimes when the slippery peaches fall off and Brooks snags them off the floor.
You are almost 16 months and are so big. People often comment on it and think you're 2. You have about 27 words that you say and about 10 signs that you use along with the words. I'm pretty sure I'm the only one that can understand all of them! You love balls, bubbles, animals, trucks, and airplanes right now. You also love the neighbor kids....Erin, Carrie, Mason, and London...ages ranging from 7-11...you go for the BIG kids! You did have your first hand holding experience with an older woman (Isabel Chapman..age 5) at Grant's Farm on Saturday! Too cute!
Love you,
Mamma

So Big!

Big Boy,

You are acting so big these days. I let you walk all by yourself into the grocery store the other day and you ran straight for the grocery cart with the car attached to it....you've never been in that before, so I was surprised you wanted to try it! You loved it and now that's the only thing you'll ride in when we grocery shop. I know because I tried to put you in the regular cart today and you let me know (and the rest of the store) with your loud protest!

You also love to eat corn on the cob all by yourself! You look like a little bird when we feed it to you (you don't really mind that either). You just love to eat!

We are having fun watching you grow up and gain more and more independence!

Love you,

Mom

Your first haircut!

Mr. Noah,

Your Daddy and I went on a little vacation to Amelia Island for a few days, and you stayed home with G-ma and G-pa (Pop, as you like to call him). We were a little nervous (oh, who am I kidding, I was REALLY nervous) about leaving you seeing as you still only want to be with mama and dada at all times! However, you did great and I think we were all very relieved.

When we were gone, your Gramma decided to cut your bangs! This was very brave of her on many levels.... 1. you've never had your hair cut 2. you hate people messing with you 3. your mama would've liked to be there for your first haircut. I really wasn't upset when she told me over the phone...I was just so glad you were behaving and having a good time with them. But, then when we got home and I saw the hack job, I wasn't so sure what I thought of G-ma's barbershop skills. You had a full out mullet! Since then, Daddy has trimmed up the back and sides a bit and you are looking like such a little man! All and all, we should really thank Gramma for getting the ball rolling!

Love you,

Mama
