Steppin' Out!

Dear Noah,

You are taking multiple steps at a time now....sometimes even 10 in a row, and are SO proud of yourself while doing so! You're also very into "feeding" yourself with your spoon. You manage to get some food into your mouth, but most of it does end up on your face, in your hair, or in one of the dogs' mouths.....mainly Brooks. You understand A LOT of words and some signs, I think you did the sign for "milk" and "more" today! Such a smartie pants!

Love you,

Mama

Your first step!

Dear Noah,

OK, so I am embarassed to even admit it, but you napped in your swing for 10 months of your life. But, as of New Year's Day, you now nap in your crib!!! It took about 5 days, but you now will cry for about 2 minutes and then put yourself to sleep for a good hour and a half, 2 times a day. Let me tell you, the first 2 days were awful! You screamed like a crazy man, but I stuck it out and here we are....such a big boy!

Speaking of big boys...you are 10 months old now....I really love this stage! You babble all the time, laugh a lot, and are so observant of your surroundings. I must say, you do pick up on things quickly too! We show you a new trick one time, and you remember how to do it on your own from there on out! You will mimic my tongue movements when you are trying to speak and today, at 12:00, yout took your first step all by yourself!!!!!! I moved a toy and you took one step toward it and then grabbed onto something for support to get to it. I think you are very close to walking all by yourself!

You are waking up from your nap, so I better wrap this up.

Love you,
Mommy

Oh Christmas Tree!

Dear Noah,
Christmas with you was an event to remember! It was so much fun to watch you play with boxes...yes, you liked the boxes as much, if not more than your toys! Mommy went totally overboard and bought you way too many toys...or maybe I bought myself way too many toys. Regardless, I figured this out when on Sunday night, at our little family Christmas before heading out of town on Monday, it took you 2 hours to open one toy we got you. You climbed all over the box for 30 minutes, unwrapped it for 30 minutes, played with the empty box for 30 minutes, it then took Daddy 30 minutes to put it together, and then you played with it for 5 minutes!

All in all, it sure was a special time for the three of us! We are so blessed to have you to make us a family! I love you so much!

Love,
Mommy
