Dear Noah,
You are getting so big and growing so much...you weigh 16.5 lbs and are 26.5 inches long now! You'll be 5 months in a week and it seems you're adjusting more and more to this world! You babble and coo all the time and like to reach for any object you can get your chubby hands on. Then, of course, it goes right in your mouth. You're still not rolling over, but seem to be ready to any day now. You like to grab your toes and rock to the right side, but can't seem to get all the way over yet. Gramma Naher got a picture of you sleeping on your side when she was here watching you!
I've been taking you to the YMCA so I can get a workout in and you go to the nursery. So far you've done pretty good there. It's hard to time it though because you tend to get pretty fussy right before nap time, so that only leaves me 1 hour to get you there and get a workout in before you become slightly unbearable!
You've been kicking like crazy, especially during your bath, so last night we decided it was time to put your little tub in the big bath tub. We turned you around to the infant side of it so you could sit up and splash around. You loved it! Soon, you'll probably be in the big boy tub without the use of the little tub to help you sit up. Oh how my little baby is growing!
You're waking up from your nap now...you'll be ready to eat soon!
Love you,
Mommy

Bahama Mama

Dear Noah,
Mommy and Daddy just got back from our first trip away from you!
We went to the Atlantis resort in the Bahamas....it was amazing, but we missed you SO much! As much as I was looking forward to catching up on some sleep and eating chocolate and cheese, I couldn't wait to get back to kiss your chubby cheeks!
Gramma and Grampa Naher and Gramma and Grampa Redders split the duty of taking care of you and by the looks of the pictures and your spirits, you had a great time with them...I'm not sure you even knew we were gone!
I cried, because I missed you, 5 times the first day and one time at dinner the second day.
Then, I started to get some sleep and realized it would only be a few more days and I'd be back home getting up at 4 am to feed you, so I started to enjoy myself! We packed tons of pictures of you for when we needed a Noah fix....Daddy seemed to pull them out more than me!
All in all, it was a good trip, but I realized how blessed we are to have you as our son; it made me look forward to family vacations with you in the future!
Love you bunches,
Bahama Mama

Baby Noah,
Your first 4th of July was filled with lounging by the pool! You really are starting to like the water, and I hope it continues! The one thing you seem to insist on is wearing your sunglasses! You get really crabby when you hav to squint...picky, picky!
You and Daddy spent your first night wihtout me last weekend! I went to a little town called Hermann with two of my closest friends, ate cheese, chocolate, and ice cream, and enjoyed a few glasses of wine! It was a mini vacation and you and Daddy seemed to do just fine without me! I did miss you both, but know it's important for you to have guy time too! In the one day/night I was gone, Daddy got you to like your big-boy toy...the Exercauser! That thing is extremely overstimulating, but I think you're getting the hang of it.
Last night we fed you rice cereal for the first time! You are such a piggie...I couldn't get the spoon to your mouth fast enough! You really seem to like to eat....just like your mom and dad! Can't wait to enjoy some real food with you someday!
Love you,
Mommy

Sleepy Boy!
Dear Noah,
You are almost 4 months old and the past three nights you've slept from 10 1/2 hours to 12 1/2 hours! You better not be teasing me with this new sleep pattern because I sure am enjoying getting caught up on my zzz's!
Last week I decided to make a spur of the moment trip to Columbia to have dinner with Aunt Jessie (she was in town buying a car from Grandpa Redders) and to visit Grandma and Grandpa, Cousin Carter, and Aunt Becky. Daddy was there on business, so he got to see you and spend some time with you too. That was the first time that Mommy took a 2 hour trip with you by myself (and the dogs), and you handled it really well. You only slept for about 30 minutes on the way there, so I had to dangle toys for you to keep you happy for the rest of the way, but we made it. Then, on the way home, you slept the whole time....those grandparents wore you out : )
Next week you go to the doctor to get your 4 month shots...yikes! Don't worry, Daddy will be there again to hold your hand while I take the pictures!
Please keep sleeping through the night!
Love,
Mommy
